South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Upbit, has officially enabled USDT (Tether) deposits and withdrawals on the Aptos mainnet as of 02:00 KST, June 18. This marks a significant step for both Upbit and the Aptos ecosystem, making Aptos the third blockchain network supported for USDT transfers on the platform, following Ethereum and Tron.
Upbit’s decision to add Aptos highlights growing interest in scalable and fast blockchain networks beyond the long-established Ethereum and Tron. The integration offers traders and investors more flexibility, especially those already participating in the Aptos ecosystem.
What This Means for Users
With this new addition, users can now move USDT directly to and from the Aptos mainnet, cutting down on fees and transaction times compared to Ethereum-based transfers. Aptos is known for its high throughput and developer-friendly infrastructure, which makes it an attractive option for crypto users and DeFi applications.
By supporting USDT on Aptos, Upbit is helping broaden the adoption of the Aptos blockchain while providing users with more options for stablecoin transactions.
Aptos Joins Elite Company
Upbit’s move to support USDT on Aptos also signals confidence in the network’s stability and user demand. Aptos now stands alongside Ethereum and Tron—two of the most widely used networks for USDT—as part of Upbit’s stablecoin strategy. This inclusion may encourage further liquidity and integration across exchanges and platforms that use Aptos.
