InfiniExploiter Sells More ETH Amid Rising Prices
The Infini exploiter sells another 1,771 ETH worth $7.44M, still holding over $38M in crypto.

- Infini exploiter sells 1,771 ETH at $4,202 each.
- Originally stole $49.5M in February 2024.
- Still holds over 9,154 ETH worth $38.85M.
Infini exploiter cashes out millions more
The hacker behind the February 2024 Infini protocol exploit has once again made headlines. On August 11, the Infini exploiter sold 1,771 ETH for $7.44 million at a market price of $4,202. This marks another significant movement in a series of strategic sales since their original theft earlier this year.
From $49.5M theft to calculated sales
Back on February 24, the Infini protocol was exploited, resulting in a loss of $49.5 million. The attacker used the stolen funds to purchase 17,696 ETH at an average price of $2,798. As Ethereum prices climbed in mid-2024, the exploiter began selling portions of their holdings.
One major sale occurred on July 17, when they offloaded 1,770 ETH for $5.88 million at $3,321 each. On the same day, they moved 4,501 ETH, valued at $15.03 million, through Tornado Cash—a privacy mixer often used to obscure the origin of crypto assets.
Still holding a massive fortune
Even after today’s transaction, blockchain data shows the Infini exploiter retains 9,154 ETH, worth approximately $38.85 million at current prices. With Ethereum still trading at multi-year highs, the crypto community is closely monitoring the wallet for further moves.
While law enforcement and blockchain analytics firms continue tracking the funds, the exploiter’s strategic timing and use of privacy tools make recovery increasingly difficult.
