- Total transfer value crosses $737,000
On July 16, between 17:57 and 18:25 UTC+8, the Ethereum Foundation made notable financial moves, transferring a total of 233.101 ETH, equivalent to approximately $737,700. The transactions reflect both strategic positioning and continued investment in Ethereum’s developer community.
Transfers to Major Exchanges
According to blockchain data, the Ethereum Foundation: Grants Provider address transferred 77.913 ETH—valued at around $246,700—to wallets linked with Coinbase Deposit and Kraken Deposit. These moves may signal a reallocation of funds, possibly for operational liquidity, asset management, or strategic funding.
While the Ethereum Foundation does not always disclose the purpose behind such transfers, sending funds to centralized exchanges often precedes grants, token sales, or operational funding activities.
$491K Grant to BuidlGuidl DAO
The bigger share of the Foundation’s ETH transfers went to dao.buidlguidl.eth, receiving 155.188 ETH, worth approximately $491,000. BuidlGuidl is a curated collective of Ethereum developers focused on building dApps, tools, and educational materials within the Ethereum ecosystem.
The grant underscores the Foundation’s commitment to empowering grassroots developer initiatives. BuidlGuidl, created by Austin Griffith, plays a significant role in Ethereum onboarding, prototyping, and community-driven innovation. This donation could support the development of new tutorials, projects, and hackathon tools aimed at fostering a stronger Ethereum developer base.
